A "Sender Address" and an "Unsubscribe Link" must be included in all C9 Connect recurring campaign templates before they can be saved. If you choose one of the default templates to base your new template on, those items will already be placed on the template for you. But what if you want to start from scratch with a blank template?
This article will cover how to add the required "Sender Address" and "Unsubscribe Link" onto your C9 Connect recurring campaign templates.
Before you begin, you will need a new C9 Connect recurring campaign template created and ready to be saved.
The first step most offices will take is to add a divider to separate the main body of the template from the section with the sender address and unsubscribe link. You can do this by simply dragging the 'divider' block from the right hand side down to the bottom of the template.
From there, you can then place a 'text box' right below that divider by doing the same thing with the 'text box' block.
Then, you will want to erase the sample text in the box and, most offices like to center the text. You can do this by clicking "center' in the 'text align' section on the right.
Then you will type your text. Usually something like "Click Here to Unsubscribe". Once you've done that, highlight the text and click the link button.
Then, on the next screen, click the 'special links' and choose 'unsubscribe'.
You are now done with the unsubscribe link. Now let's move on to the sender address.
To place this, you can simply hit enter after the unsubscribe link to make a new line. Then click 'merge tags' and select 'sender address'.
That's it! You're done and you can now save your template and start using it for recurring email campaigns.
