This article will list all permissions that are available to be assigned to each employee. The list includes the permission titles (bolded) and what each of them are designed to do. These permissions can be used under Edit > Setup > Employee Types, or under Edit > Setup > Employees. These permissions are listed alphabetically.
Permissions List
Add Billing Centers: Users with this permission can add new billing centers in the edit patient workflow. Users without this permission (or the Edit Insurance permission) will not see the Add button for billing centers. This permission is not added to any employee types by default and must be explicitly enabled for employees.
Add Employers: Users with this permission can add new employers in the edit patient workflow. Users without this permission (or the Edit Insurance permission) will not see the Add button for employers. This permission is not added to any employee types by default and must be explicitly enabled for employees.
Add Financial Arrangement (FA): Provides the employee with access to add a new FA.
Add Insurance Companies: Users with this permission can add new insurance companies in the edit patient workflow. Users without this permission (or the Edit Insurance permission) will not see the Add button for insurance companies. This permission is not added to any employee types by default and must be explicitly enabled for employees.
Add Patients: Provides access to "Add Patient" screen so new patients can be added to the database.
Approve Patient Treatment Plan (Ortho): Ability to approve Treatment Plans in the patient's treatment card. Primarily assigned to doctors.
Can Delete Questionnaires: Provides employee with the delete button while in Edit >Setup >Questionnaires, so they can delete questionnaires.
Can Edit Patient-Referrals/Professionals: Access granted to Edit Referral/Professional's information from the Edit > Patient tab. *NOTE: Without this permission the information can still be updated via the Person/Rolodex listed under Edit > Setup > People.
Can Override Schedule: When given this permission, the employee will have the ability to schedule patients in a different templated type AND have the ability to schedule in Closed Time.
Can Overwrite Images: This permission allows the user to which it is assigned the ability to overwrite images and originals. This permission should be given VERY sparingly, as you do not want everybody to be able to overwrite images. The permission should only be given to the person who would have the need to overwrite an original pan, in an instance where it was unclear or had been a poor image capture.
Can Schedule a Different Type: When given this permission, the employee will have the ability to override the schedule template and schedule a different appointment type than what was templated.
Can Schedule in Closed Time: With this permission, the employee can schedule an appointment in a time that has been closed on the schedule.
Can View Appointment Details: This allows the employee to view the details of each appointment (history tab, which includes when and who scheduled, cancelled, and rescheduled the appointment).
Change Transaction Type: Provides the ability to Right click/edit entries in the Financial Ledger.
Claim Status Request: This permission is only used for a few pre-existing clients and will not need to be added to future clients' employees.
Close the Financial Day: Access to "Close the Day" to financially end the day and produce a Deposit Slip
Close the Financial Month: Access to "Close the Month" to bundle Daily Close totals into a designated month.
Create Appointments: Schedule an appointment for a patient.
Create Documents: Create a document in the letter queue for a patient.
Create Patient Comments: Add a comment/alert for a patient in "Comments/Alerts".
Create Patient Treatment Plan (Ortho): As a Treatment Plan in the patient's Treatment Card.
Create Treatment Fee Plans: This is an obsolete Permission and is no longer used.
Delete Clinical Notes: This permission is used for Pediatric Offices only and allows the user to delete a Clinical Note from Charting.
Delete Contracts: Delete an existing financial contract. Even with this permission, the delete can only happen prior to the Daily Close being run.
Delete Documents: Allows the user to delete a document that is stored in a patient's Document Cabinet
Delete Financial Arrangements: Provides the ability to delete a Financial Arrangement.
Delete Patient Comments: Allows a user to delete a patient's comment/alert in their "Comments/Alerts" section.
Delete Patient Health History: This permission is for Pediatric Offices only, as that is where the Health History page is located. It should only be given out and used in the rarest of circumstances.
Delete Patient Treatment Plan (Ortho): Deletes an existing Treatment Plan in a patient's Treatment Card.
Delete Perio Chart: Allows the assigned user the ability to delete a Perio Chart.
Delete Prescriptions: Allows the assigned user the ability to Delete Prescriptions.
Delete/Invalidate Treatment: For Pediatric Use ONLY, this allows the user to delete a Treatment posted in Charting.
Disable Idle Logout: This permission should primarily be used for the check-in Screen computer. It allows the screen to stay active for long periods of time. It is still not recommended that the Idle time logout NOT be set above 120 minutes. If the computer is expected to not be in use for over that two hours (120 minutes) the person should log off of Cloud 9.
Document Cabinet: Provides permission to access the Document Cabinet.
Document Editor: Provides permission to access the Document Editor.
Edit All Users Print Defaults: Set the printing defaults in "View Tab/Print Defaults" for Print Management printing.
Edit Appointments: Provides the ability to make changes to a scheduled appointment by adding a note to the appointment, changing the appt type, or changing the time.
Edit Codes: With this permission, the end user will be able to edit "D" Codes within your URL under Edit > Setup > Codes.
Edit Company: Under Edit >Setup > Company, the assigned user would be able to edit address and contact information for listed companies.
Edit Employees: Provide access to Edit > Setup > Employees where employee information and permissions can be updated.
Edit Fee Schedules: Users with this permission have access to Fee Schedules and Fee Schedule Types menu items in Edit > Setup > Fee Schedules, and can select fee schedules via the lookup (magnifying glass) throughout the system. Users without this permission see the fee schedule lookup as read-only.
Edit Financial Arrangements: Make edits to Financial Arrangements.
Edit Insurance: Allows employees to Edit Insurance Companies and Insurance Billing Center information under the Edit >Setup menu.
Edit Library Items: Provides the end user access to all items under Edit > Setup, with the exception of Edit > Employees.
Edit Location Time Zone: Change Time Zone under Edit > Setup > Locations.
Edit Patient Comments: Change existing Patient Comments in "Comments/Alerts"
Edit Patient ID: Ability to edit patient ID in Edit Patient.
Edit Patients: Ability to edit patient information in "Edit Patient" screen
Edit Practice Information: Edit practice address, email server settings, tax ID numbers, Logos, etc.
Edit Reminders Setup: Given to an employee who has the need to be able to edit reminders within C9 Connect.
Edit Schedule Templates: Add or change schedule templates under Edit > Schedule Templates.
Edit Scheduled Contract Payments: Provides the ability to make changes under Edit > Automation Suite > Scheduled Contract Payments.
Edit Transaction Type: When the end user has this permission, they will be ablet to go to Edit > Setup > Transaction Types and either add new transaction types, modify existing ones, or delete transaction types.
Edit Treatment Card Layouts: This permission allows the assigned user to Edit Treatment Card Layouts found under Edit > Setup > Treatment Cards.
Edit Treatment Fee Plans: This is an obsolete permission.
Edit Treatments: Option is unavailable at this time.
Enable Accept Assignment: Provides the ability, under Edit > Patient and the Insurance tab, to check or uncheck the Accept Assignment button.
Enable Two-Way Texting: Turns on the capability of the office to participate in Two-Way Texting.
Exempt from White List: Will not allow designated employee to be on the White List.
Map EOB: Used only for specific Clients.
Map Transactions: Only for Practices using EDI.
Modify Patient Treatment Plan (Ortho): Edit an existing Treatment Plan for a patient in the Patient's Treatment Card.
Override Insurance Fee Schedule: PEDS Only Changes fee amounts while using charting.
Override Contract Locks: Allows users to edit the locked contract fields of UCR value for Initial Claim, Treatment Fee Amount, Charge Type lookup, and Discount Type Lookup. This is only for contracts associated with a Financial Arrangement.
Override Financial Arrangement Locks: Allows users to edit the locked UCR, Contracted Amount, and Insurance Amount fields that are now locked by default when creating a Financial Arrangement.
Override Post Charge Locks: Allows the user to edit the locked Post Charges field from the default amount when adding a charge to a ledger.
The following section is for Patient Comment Types and all permissions begin with PCT.
PCT Add: Check In Comment: Add a comment for patient to see when they check in.
PCT Add: Check Out Comment: Add a comment for employee to see when they check out a patient.
PCT Add: Ledger Comment: Provides the employee with the ability to add a Comment on a Patient Ledger.
PCT Add: Patient Comment: Provides the employee with the ability to add a Comment in the Patient Comments and alerts section.
PCT Add: Schedule Comment: With this permission the employee can add a comment to the Schedule.
PCT Add: Treatment Card Comment: Provides the ability to add a comment that will show on the Patient's Treatment Card.
PCT Add: Vendor Comment: This permission provides authorized integrated vendors to be able to make a comment within the Cloud 9 system.
PCT Delete: Check In Comment: Provides the ability to Delete a Check In Comment.
PCT Delete: Check Out Comment: Provides the ability to Delete a Check Out Comment.
PCT Delete: Ledger Comment: Provides the employee with the ability to delete a Comment on a Patient Ledger.
PCT Delete: Patient Comment: Provides the employee with the ability to delete a Comment in the Patient Comments and alerts section.
PCT Delete: Schedule Comment: Provides the employee with the ability to Delete a Patient Comment.
PCT Delete: Treatment Card Comment: Provides the employee with the permission to delete a Treatment Card Comment, up until the 24 hour window where all comments are saved forever.
PCT Edit: Check In Comment: With this permission, the employee can make edits to an existing Check In Comment.
PCT Edit: Check Out Comment: With this permission, the employee can make edits to an existing Check Out Comment.
PCT Edit: Ledger Comment: With this permission, the employee can make edits to an existing Ledger Comment.
PCT Edit: Patient Comment: With this permission, the employee can make edits to an existing Patient Comment.
PCT Edit: Schedule Comment: With this permission, the employee can make edits to an existing Schedule Comment.
PCT Edit: Treatment Card Comment: With this permission, the employee can make edits to an existing Treatment Card Comment prior to the 24-hour time limit being reached. All Treatment Cards are permanently locked after 24 hours.
PCT Edit: Vendor Comment: Provides the ability to edit any Vendor Comments.
PCT View: Check In Comment: Provides the ability to View Check In Comments.
PCT View: Check Out Comment: Provides the ability to view Check Out Comments.
PCT View: Ledger Comment: Provides the ability to view Ledger Comments.
PCT View: Patient Comment: Provides the ability to view Patient Comments.
PCT View: Schedule Comment: Allows the user to see comments entered on the Schedule.
PCT View: Treatment Card Comment: Allows the user to see comments entered as Treatment Card Comments.
PCT View: Vendor Comments: Allows the user to see any Vendor Comments made within the system.
Post Adjustments: This permission allows the user to be able to post adjustments to patient ledgers.
Post Charges: This permission allows the user to be able to post charges to patient ledgers.
Post Payments: This permission allows the user to be able to post payments to the ledger of patient accounts.
Recurring Campaigns: Edit Campaigns: If the office has purchased the C9 Connect Module, this permission allows the person to whom it is assigned to be able to make edits to Recurring Campaigns.
Recurring Campaigns: View Campaign Details: When applied, this permission allows the user to view the details of the campaigns that your office has set up. They are unable to edit anything but can only view it.
Recurring Campaigns: View Recipients: When this permission is applied to a user, they are able to view the Recipients tab to see who has received each specific campaign.
The following section is for Reports and all permissions begin with RPT.
RPT: Accounts Receivable: When this permission is applied, the user can see the Accounts Receivable Report.
RPT: Accounts Receivable Aging by Ins and RP: When this permission is applied, the user can see the Accounts Receivable Aging by Ins and RP Report.
RPT: Accounts Receivable Aging by Patient: When this permission is applied, the user can see the Accounts Receivable Aging by Patient Report.
RPT: ACH Payment Method Verification Status Report - PDDS Pay: This permission is only used for practices integrated with PDDS Pay as their Payment Processor. When assigned, it allows the user to see this specific report.
RPT: Adjustments: When assigned, the user will be able to see the Adjustments Report.
RPT: Adjustments by Date Range: When assigned, the user will be able to see the Adjustments by Date Range Report.
RPT: Appointment Classes: This permission allows the user to see the Appointment Classes Report.
RPT: Appointment Schedule: Allows user to view the Appointment Schedule Report.
RPT: Appointment Status List: Allows the user to view the report titled Appointment Status List.
RPT: Appointment Types: Allows the user the ability to see the Appointment Type Report.
RPT: Available Appointments: When assigned this permission, the user can view the Available Appointments Report.
RPT: Balancing Worksheet: This permission allows the user to view the Balancing Worksheet Report.
RPT: Case Starts (A) by Start Date: With this permission the user can view the Case Starts (A) by Start Date Report.
RPT: Case Starts (B) by Start Date: With this permission the user can view the Case Starts (B) by Start Date Report.
RPT: Case Starts by Start Date: With this permission the user can view the Case Starts by Start Date Report.
RPT: Case Starts Summary by Date Range: User with this permission can view the Case Starts Summary by Date Range report.
RPT: CDT Code Count by Date Range: With this permission the user can see the CDT Code Count by Date Range report.
RPT: Charges: Provided this permission, the user will be able to view the Charges report.
RPT: Claim Status Report: With the appropriate permission assigned, and if the office is integrated with Change Healthcare (CHC) for their Insurance Claims Electronic Processing, this report is provided back to Cloud 9 (by CHC) to show the status of the filed Insurance Claims.
RPT: Completed Contracts by Date Range: The assigned user can view the Completed Contracts by Date Range report.
RPT: Contact Info Types: When this permission is assigned, the user will be able to view the Contact Info Types report.
RPT: Contract Starts by Date Range: When this permission is assigned, the user will be able to view the Contract Starts by Date Range report.
RPT: Contracts by Start Date: When the user has this permission, they will be able to view the Contracts by Start Date Report.
RPT: Daily Close Reports: When assigned this permission, the user will be able to view all Daily Close Reports.
RPT: Daily Collections: With this permission, the user can view the Daily Collections Reports.
RPT: Daily Receipts Recap: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the Daily Receipts Recap Report.
RPT: Daily Totals: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the Daily Totals Report.
RPT: Deferred Revenue Totals: When this permission is applied, the user can see the Deferred Revenue Totals Report.
RPT: Employee List: When this permission is applied, the user can see the Employee List Report.
RPT: Employee Time Card: When the user has this permission, they will be able to view the Employee Time Card Report.
RPT: Employee Time Card By Day: When the user has this permission, they will be able to view the Employee Time Card By Day Report.
RPT: Employee Time Card By Location: When the user has this permission, they will be able to view the Employee Time Card by Location Report.
RPT: Employer List: When assigned this permission, the user will be able to view the Employer List Report.
RPT: Fee Schedule: When assigned this permission, the user will be able to view the Fee Schedule Report.
RPT: Financial Date of Service: When assigned this permission, the user will be able to view the Financial Date of Service Report.

RPT: Kept Appointments: When the user has this permission, they will be able to view the Kept Appointments Report.
RPT: Label - Avery 5160: When the user has this permission, they will be able to batch labels to fit the format of the Avery 5160.
RPT: Label - Single Address (3.5 x 1): When the user has this permission, they will be able to batch labels to fit a single address form with the measurements of 3.5 x 1.
RPT: Missed Dental Chart Clinical Notes: When assigned this permission, the user will be able to view the report of those patients who had an appointment, but on which their Dental Chart had no notes for that visit.
RPT: Missed Treatment Card Entries: When assigned this permission, the user will be able to view the report of those patients who had an appointment, but on which their Treatment Card had no notes entered for that visit.
RPT: Monthly Close Reports: When provided this permission, the user will be able to view the Monthly Close Reports.
RPT: Monthly New Patient Exams: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the Monthly New Patient Exams Report.
RPT: Monthly Review: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the Monthly Review Report.
RPT: Net Receipts By Date Range: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the Net Receipts By Date Range Report.
RPT: New Patient Status: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the New Patient Status Report.
RPT: Operatory Schedule and RPT: Operatory Schedule (Portrait): These two permissions allow the user to view the same report, one being in Landscape, the other being in Portrait.
RPT: Orthobanc Payments: For this report to populate with any information, the office will need to be integrated with Orthobanc. When this permission is assigned, the user will be able to view the information provided by Orthobanc regarding the payments by Statement Date.
RPT: Patient Appointments: With this permission assigned, the user will be able to view the Patient Appointments Report. This report is filtered by an individual patient and shows all of their appointment history.
RPT: Patient Birthday Labels: This permission allows the user to view the Birthday Labels Report. The report lists names and addresses for any patient in an active status that has a birthday within the selected date range. The report is formatted to fit Avery 5160 labels.
RPT: Patient Chart Labels: This permission allows the user to view the Patient Chart Labels Report. The Patient Chart Labels Report lists patient last name, first name and patient ID for any patients with future appointments that match the search criteria. This report is formatted to fir Avery 5160 Labels.
RPT: Patient Flow Details: When a user is assigned this permission, they will be able to view the Patient Flow Details Report, which lists a detailed breakdown of the timeline of each appointment. This includes the appointment time, check in time, lobby time, on deck time, chair time, ready for checkout time, and total time that each appointment spent in each status. However, there is a specific workflow required in order to populate this report with the necessary information. You can review the documentation on that through this link: Patient Flow Details Report
RPT: Patient Labels: With this permission, the user will be able to view the Patient Labels report. On this report, the Patient's name and address is given for any who match the patient status and status start date criteria. The date range in the report filter applies to the patient's status start date in the Edit Patient window - tracking tab. The report is formatted for the results to use the Avery 5160 label.
RPT: Patient Statistical Profile: With the permission assigned, this report provides a detailed list of patient statuses and the patient count, along with percentages for each patient status. Patient counts are broken into adults and children. Using the activity of "Both" will include your entire list of patients, both active and inactive. This would provide the most complete picture of the offices patient database.
RPT: Patient Tray Covers: When assigned this permission, the user can see the Patient Tray Covers Report. The tray covers contain useful information related to the patient and their five (5) most recent treatment card entries. This report also includes their Treatment Plan. The information that displays on this tray cover can be customized under Edit > Setup> Treatment Cards. Edit the Treatment Card and check/uncheck the 'Print on Tray Cover' button under the specific information you want to appear/not appear within the Treatment Card.
RPT: Patient Tray Covers No Treatment Plan: When assigned this permission, the user can see the Patient Tray Covers No Treatment Plan Report. The tray covers contain useful information related to the patient and their five (5) most recent treatment card entries. This report DOES NOT include their Treatment Plan. The information that displays on this tray cover can be customized under Edit > Setup> Treatment Cards. Edit the Treatment Card and check/uncheck the 'Print on Tray Cover' button under the specific information you want to appear/not appear within the Treatment Card.
RPT: Patients by Appointment Status: With this permission, the user can see this report. It lists patient name, contact information and appointment details for all patients who had an appointment within the date range selected. This report is most commonly used for finding all no-show appointments within the selected date range.
RPT: Patients by Birthday: This report contains the names, birthdays, and ages for all patients within the filtered patient statuses and date range. When the permission is assigned, the user will be able to review this report.
RPT: Patients By Patient Status: When assigned, this permission allows the user to view the Patients By Patient Status Report. They can filter this report by individual or multiple patient statuses, within a given date range and location.
RPT: Patients by Referring Party: With this report, the user can view and select, by referring party, a list of those referred by that individual.
RPT: Patients Needing Appointment: By Location, Provider, and Patient Status, the user with this permission can look for those patients who are in need of a future appointment. This report is a more thorough look at the Needs Appt tab of the small clipboard to the left of the schedule. To be included in this report, the patient MUST meet three criteria. They must be (1) in an Active Status, (2) they MUST NOT have a future recall, and (3) they do not have a future appointment scheduled. Addressing any one (or all three) of these categories will remove them from this list.
RPT: Patients Needing Continuing Care: This report is used predominantly by Pediatric offices. With this permission, the end user can select filter criteria to identify those patients requiring Continuing Care (similar to orthodontic patients on the previous report).
RPT: Patient Over Estimated Completion Date: By date range, Patient Status, and Location, the user with this permission can run a report to see which patients are over their Estimated Completion Date.
RPT: Patients Per Insurance Company: With this permission, the user can gather a list of patients, either active or inactive, that are assigned to specific insurance companies.
RPT: Person History Changes: This report will show any changes to a person record captured by the system, by date range. Most employees will not need to have this permission.
RPT: Practice Monitor by Date Range: The Practice Monitor by Date Range Report offers monthly totals for Production, Receipts, Net Adjustments, Accounts Receivable, and details on past due accounts and new patient exams. Permission for this report is normally only given to Providers and Managers.
RPT: Practice Summary: This report has sections for account receivables, charges this period, payments this period, adjustments this period, and control numbers. Permission is normally only provided to senior staff.
RPT: Procedure Detail: When applied, this permission allows the user to see the Procedure Detail report, which lists all procedures entered on treatment card entries within the date range selected for this report. The list is ordered by date.
RPT: Procedure Summary by Assistant: When assigned this permission, the user can access this report. The report lists each procedure and each assistant who made treatment card entries within the specified date range, by location.
RPT: Procedure Summary by Location: When assigned this permission, the user can access this report. The report lists each procedure and each assistant who made treatment card entries within the specified date range by location.
RPT: Procedure Summary by Month: When assigned this permission, the user can access this report. The report lists each procedure and each assistant who made treatment card entries within the specified date range by location.
RPT: Production by Date Range: When assigned this permission, the user can access this report, which displays all production items (specifically those under Edit > Setup > Transaction Types marked to affect production) that were added to patients' ledgers for a given date range and selected location. This is a gross report.
RPT: Production by Transaction Type: Similar to the report listed immediately above, this report also adds the ability to show the production by transaction type.
RPT: Production Sheet: When assigned this permission, the user can access this report, which displays all production items (specifically those under Edit > Setup > Transaction Types marked to affect production) that were added to patients' ledgers for a given date range and selected location.
RPT: Recall Labels: This report will provide labels for patients with a specific recall date, that can be applied to a postcard or letter asking them to call to schedule the recall appointment. It is formatted to fit an Avery 5161 label.
RPT: Recalls: This report lists the patient ID, patient name, contact information, recall information and deband date for patients with a recall that matches the report parameters.
RPT: Recalls by Date Range: his report lists the patient ID, patient name, contact information, recall information and deband date for patients with a recall that matches the report parameters. This report provides the same information as the above listed Recall Report, but this one does not provide the patient deband date.
RPT: Receipt Summary by Date Range: When assigned this permission, the end user will be able to see this report, which lists a gross total of each payment type received with the date range along with a grand total of all payments for each location.
RPT: Receipt Summary by Payment Type: With this permission, you will be able to Select the daily close reports that you want to see the payment types and associated totals display for.
RPT: Receipts: This report lists all payments within the date range in the date/time order in which they were posted.
RPT: Receipts by Date Range: With this permission, the user can see all payments posted by location then by payment type. This is a gross report, which can also be used to verify the receipts total on the Practice Monitor by Date Range Report.
RPT: Recurring Payment Report: This report lists all posted auto-payments that have NOT been part of a Daily Close.
RPT: Referral by Source Report: With this permission assigned, the user can view details about patient and financial information for patients whose entry date is within the date range used. If using this report to help determine a conversion rate from the specific referral source, use a large date range and choose Activity = Both.
RPT: Referral Labels: When assigned this permission, the user can see the report lists the name and address for the matching referral sources. It is formatted to fir Avery 5160 labels.
RPT: Referral List: When assigned this permission, the user will see the name of the referring party, profession, contact information as well as the number of patients referred within the date range and the total amount of the contracts that were started for the referred patients.
RPT: Referral Sources: When assigned this permission, the user will see a report that lists every referral source who has referred a patient to the practice throughout time.
RPT: Scheduled Appointment Types: With this permission assigned, the end user can view this report, which displays the appointment type, appointment date, location, chair, appointment length, patient name, and patient status. The report can be utilized for either past or future dates.
RPT: Signed Financial Arrangements: This permission is used by offices that use Financial Arrangements and should be assigned to the individual who is checking for Quality Control purposes those Financial Arrangements that have been signed.
RPT: Spotlight History by Patient: This report is used to identify, by patient, the date and the specific event within an identified patient's chart occurred. For example, if we want to know what employee changed the patient's status from Pending to Active Full Treatment, this report will show that, with any accompanying annotations.
RPT: Summary of Activity: This permission should be assigned to the individual(s) dealing with office financials, as it provides multiple financial totals including Gross and Net Production, as well as Gross and Net Collections within the identified time frame, broken by locations.
RPT: Today's Financial Report: Assigned to the person that needs to be able to see today's Deposits, Receipts, Transactions, and Down payments.
RPT: To Do's by Date Range: This report will show, by employee, their open To Do's within the given date range. This permission should be reserved for a person in an advisory or supervisory role.
RPT: Transaction Types: This permission should only be provided to those with the ability to edit Transaction Types within the Edit Library Items (Setup) of the software. This report will show how each Transaction Type is marked to Affect Production, Due Now, Total Due, etc. at a glance.
RPT: Treatment and Financial Summary: This report provides a Summary, by location and practice (overall) of Treatment Information and Financial Information. Permissions for this report should be reserved to a small number of personnel, normally in leadership positions.
RPT: Unallocated Credits: This report is used to locate unallocated credits found on the Date of Service Tab of the ledger.
RPT: Unscheduled Treatment Plans: This report will show treatment plans that have been created but have no scheduled steps within them as of yet. Once this permission is assigned, the user will be able to view this report.
RPT: Unsigned Treatment Card Entries: The person to whom this permission is assigned should have the duty of reviewing this report on a daily basis in order to capture those Treatment Card Entries that are unsigned prior to the 24 hour limit where the entry will be locked and the card will be unable to be signed after that timeframe has expired.
Run Reports: Provides the person assigned this permission the ability to access and run reports.
Run Utilities: This permission allows the user to run certain utilities within the software. These will appear under Edit > Run Utility. This permission is an all-or-none permission. Individual utilities within this list cannot be removed. The employee has permissions to all of them, or none of them.
Time Clock Admin: With this permission, the employee becomes the administrator of the timeclock, and can update the punches of other employees, and correct errant or incorrect punches.
Un-sign Financial Arrangements: In offices that utilize Financial Arrangements, this permission provides the employee with the ability to un-sign a previously signed Financial Arrangement.
View Appointment Schedule: When assigned this permission, the user will have the ability to view the appointment schedule.
View Auto Payments: With this permission, the user will be able to see the option for Auto Payments under the Financial dropdown.
View Case Reviews: With this permission, the user will be able to view Case Reviews, located under the Home screen, under the Treatment Section.
View Charting: With this permission, the user will be able to view the Dental Chart, located under the Home screen, under the Treatment Section.
View Data Miner: With this permission, the user will be able to view the Data Miner option, located on the Reports dropdown menu.
View Financial Ledgers: With this permission, the user will be able to view any patient's financial ledger.
View Graphs:
View Image Layout Editor: With this permission assigned, the end user will have access to Edit > Image Layout Editor, which will allow them to create new mage Layouts, as well as modify existing image layouts.
View Insurance Claims: With this permission assigned, the user will have the ability to access Insurance Claims, and can view, create, or edit insurance claims.
View Letters Queue: With this permission the end user will be able to view the Letter Queue and make any necessary changes associated with administrative tasks within the Queue.
View License Management: With this permission the end user will be able to access View > License Management.
View Login History: With this permission the end user will be able to access View > Login History.
View Orthobanc Payments: If your office is integrated with Orthobanc, providing the user with this permission will allow them to view the information provided in this screen by Orthobanc.
View Patient Comments: Provided this permission, the end user will be able to View Patient Comments, but will not be allowed to Create, Edit, or Delete Patient Comments. Each of those has its own separate permission.
View Patient Health History: Given this permission, the employee will have the option of Health History show under Edit Patient for each patient. This permission will not allow the user to document anything in Health History.
View Patients: Provided this permission, the end user will be able to view patients. This permission alone does not provide them with the ability to make any edits within the patient profile. Think of this as the "Read Only" option.
View Prescriptions: If your URL has the capability to write prescriptions, this permission allows the user to view those prescriptions.
View Treatment Card: This permission allows the assigned user to view the Treatment Card, but not to make edits to the treatment card.
View Treatment Fee: This permission allows the user to view the treatment fees but does not provide the permission to edit them.
View Treatment Planning: This permission allows the user to view the treatment planning steps in the bottom portion of the Treatment Card.
Write Patient Health History: Given this permission, the employee will have the option of Health History show under Edit Patient for each patient. This permission will allow the assigned user to add and edit documentation within Health History.
Write Prescriptions: With this permission the end user will have the ability to write prescriptions. This permission should be reserved for Doctors and Hygienists only depending on the laws of your state and who can legally write prescriptions.
