Summary
This article walks through how to access the Apteryx imaging integration within Cloud 9. It covers the two access methods, what to expect with and without stored credentials, and where to find additional Apteryx resources and support.
Overview
Apteryx is a cloud-based, device-agnostic dental imaging platform with seamless sensor integration, embedded AI with 24/7 access to X-rays, unlimited cloud storage, and secure image transfer. It integrates directly into Cloud 9, giving dentists secure, anytime access to patient images without leaving the software. It is designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and streamline imaging workflows for dentists.
Initial Setup
Apteryx must be set up within the Apteryx system before the integration can be accessed in Cloud 9. Once that setup has been completed, two new menu options will appear in Cloud 9:
-
Home > Apteryx Imaging (under the Treatment Section.)
-
Edit Patient > Apteryx Imaging (under the Imaging section.)
Note: If Apteryx has not been set up for your practice yet and you are interested in adding it, reach out to Cloud 9 Support or your Account Manager. We can connect you with Account Management to discuss the cost and process of getting Apteryx added to your subscription.
Opening Apteryx
The Apteryx integration opens the Apteryx cloud-based imaging program directly inside Cloud 9. There are two ways to access it depending on where you are in the software.
Method 1: Access from the Home Header
Navigate to Home > Apteryx Imaging.
-
With stored credentials: Apteryx will automatically log you in and display the patient search page.
-
Without stored credentials: You will be forwarded to the Apteryx login page within Cloud 9 to enter your credentials before proceeding.
Method 2: Access from the Patient Record
Navigate to Edit Patient > Apteryx Imaging under the Imaging section.
-
With stored credentials: Apteryx will automatically log you in and the patient’s information will pre-fill in the search, taking you directly to that patient’s images.
-
Without stored credentials: You will be forwarded to the Apteryx login page within Cloud 9. Once logged in, the patient information will populate in the search and you will be able to view that patient’s Apteryx images within Cloud 9.
