This is a quick article for how to save letters to the document cabinet.
Saving E-Mailed Letters to the Document Cabinet
When emailing a letter, when users get to the Merged Letter Preview, users will see these options at the top: Store a Copy of Printed Letters in the Document and Mark as Printed in Patient History when Printing. When users get to the Merged Letter Preview screen, click on the Document on the left side of the screen and then that will turn the options Blue. Then users will be able to check these options at the Merged Letter Preview screen.
Once the document has been sent, that document will show under Patient History as Letter E-Mailed.
Saving Printed Letters to the Document Cabinet
Follow the same path to send the letter, but instead of selecting the email option, select the Print Icon. That document will then show under Patient History as Letter Printed.
What if there is not a need to store a copy of the letter in the document cabinet?
Click on the Document on the left side of the screen and then that will turn the options Blue. Then users will be able to unselect the options to mark as Store a Copy of Printed Letters in the Document and Mark as Printed in Patient History when Printing.
What if the practice wants these options to be set to auto checked at all times?
