Summary
Occasionally when opening a patient's Imaging tab, the images may appear blurry or unclear. This is typically due to the 'Sharpen Image' button being selected and then not turned off. When a specific user utilizes the 'Sharpen Images' button, it remains on for all images and patients until it is turned off.
Using Sharpen Image Button
From a patient's Imaging tab you can select the 'Sharpen Images' icon, (magic wand icon, shown int he screenshot below.)
The 'Sharpen Images' icon can be useful when looking at radiographs, panoramics, or bitewings, but sometimes on the general photos it can make it appear blurry. It is a per user setting, so if User A turns 'Sharpen Images' on, it will stay on, until it is clicked off. User B will not be affected. When the 'Sharpen Images' icon is left on, the images can appear blurry or unclear, as shown in the screenshot below. When the icon is on it is greyed out as well.
To resolve the issue, simply click the 'Sharpen Images' icon again, to uncheck it, and the images will appear normally. The 'Sharpen Images' tool only affects display, it will not change the image file and can be turned off at any time.
