Topaz Signature Pad can be used to insert a signature into a letter that requires a signature, (e.g., a contract.) First, you will want to have the Topaz Signature Pad plugged in, and install the driver for use. This is done by running the SigPlus program from the site of https://www.sigpluspro.com. Select the correct model from the list and download and run the driver. Make sure the Topaz Signature pad is powered on and plugged into the computer you wish to use it on. These steps must be completed first before setting up the C9 Agent for use with the Topaz Signature Pad.
Next, you will want to install the C9 Agent. From inside of Cloud 9 click help, install c9 agent and run the file. Then you will need to register the agent.
Agent Name: Name of C9 Agent. When you click the Acquire button in Cloud 9, this name will show, (e.g., Front Desk, Benton X-ray, Jesse's Scanner.)
Cloud 9 URL: https://sitename.cloud9ortho.com (Without the HTML5 from the end, this should not be included here.)
Username and Password: This can be any username and password on the practice's URL to be entered here. Once it has been entered and you click okay you will know it is successful because it says connected.
You can confirm that it's connected by clicking "About" menu.
Then you can click close, minimize or the x to exit out of the about section.
How to use Topaz Signature Pad:
Go into Cloud9, open the Letter Queue, and merge in a letter.
Click on Signature Pad on the bottom.
- Now you can select the Topaz button.
It will then ask you which c9Agent to use for this. If there are multiple ones available, select the correct one, otherwise if there is just one, it will default to it.
It will then open the Signature Capture screen, at this point it is waiting for a signature: - Sign: This is the default state, and allows the signature pad to sign in the box
- Stop: Disables input from the signature pad
- Clear: Will clear any signature already received, useful if the signer has an issue and wishes to start over
- Ok: Accept the signature and bring it back into Cloud9
- Cancel: Closes the window without taking the signature
After pressing OK the signature will be pulled back into Cloud9.
-
Merge: Place the signature in the document where the "{Signature}" merge field is in the document
-
Insert: Place the signature in the document wherever the blinking text cursor is currently placed
- Clear: Clear the signature
