C9 Agent Connects to X-ray machines and Scanners using a Twain Driver. The Twain Driver for the scanner or x-ray machine must be installed on the computer prior to beginning the C9 Agent Installation.
Step 1: The C9 Agent can be installed from inside of Cloud 9. In Cloud 9 click Help, Download C9 Agent.
Step 2: Then, the file will download in the upper right of the browser, double click it and run it. Follow the installation prompts.
Step 3: Once you have finished installing the C9 Agent, launch it and it will ask you to register it for the first time.
Agent Name: Name of C9 Agent. When you click the Acquire button in Cloud 9, this name will show, (e.g., Front Desk, Benton X-ray, Jesse's Scanner.)
Cloud 9 URL: https://sitename.cloud9ortho.com (Without the HTML5 at the end.)
Username and Password: This can be any Clou 9 username and password on the practice's URL. Once it has been entered and you click okay you will know it is successful because it says connected (in the upper left corner) and looks like this.
Step 4: Next, you will want to click Select Twain Device.
TWAIN Device - Use this for scanners only.
Ceph Device - Use this for Cephalometric/Ceph X-ray machines or for taking an image series.
Pan Device - Use this for Panoramic X-ray machines.
Step 5: After selecting the twain device, you can log into Cloud 9 and from the patients document cabinet, (scanner) or the patients image screen (X-Ray), use the blue plus to acquire. Then select the agent you named above, and it will open the scanner software or x-ray machine software and allow you to acquire.
