Summary
No Show Charges can be applied from the Mark as No Show screen. This can help your office to keep track of daily No Show appointments and manage the associated fees.
Setup Required
From the Edit dropdown, click Setup.
Click Transaction Types.
Search for or select the No Show Fee then click Edit.
A checkbox for “Is No Show Fee” can be found here. This must be checked for any
Transaction Types that must display in the No Show Fee dropdown.
Posting No Show Fees
Have the Schedule open.
Click the No Shows icon from the upper left area.
NOTES:
- The Mark as No Show screen now has a dropdown for No Show Fee Type and
an icon for Apply No Show Fee. There is also a column for Responsible Party where
the specific Responsible Party who should be charged the No Show Fee is
chosen.
Note: When the patient only has one Responsible Party, that column will be populated
with the Responsible Party’s name, but when there are multiple Responsible
Parties for the patient, the Responsible column will be blank and requires the
user to choose a Responsible Party from the dropdown list.
Check the appropriate patients on the left column checkboxes.
Make sure the correct Responsible Party is selected.
Select the correct No Show Fee Type (if more than one).
Click Apply No Show Fee icon. Fees will be posted to the Responsible Party’s ledger.
NOTES:
- Charging a No Show Fee from the Mark as No Show window does NOT mark the
Appointment as No-Show at the same time.
- To mark appointments as No-Show, users must still check those patients on the
left and click Mark as No Show.
