Summary
The Practice Calendar is a tool to view at a glance what locations have schedule
templates assigned to the schedule on a monthly basis.
New Practice Link
On the upper left side of the schedule above the mini calendar is an icon for Practice.
The Practice Calendar screen shows the schedule views that are NOT marked as
Closed that day.
On the Practice Calendar, when you hover the mouse over a schedule view name, it
displays the name of the schedule template applied for that day in the upper left corner.
NOTE:
• This can be used to identify what location is staffed during a given point of a day.
• Renaming some schedule templates may help maximize the benefit of this
feature.
Setup
From the Edit dropdown, click Setup.
Click Schedule View. There are two fields here that can help make the calendar visually easier to read.
Background Color
• This becomes the color of the tab for this schedule view on the schedule.
• The default background color is white.
Foreground Color
• This is the font color on the tab for this schedule view on the schedule.
• The default foreground color is black.
Helpful Tips
From the Edit toolbar, click Schedule Templates and close the days you are not seeing
patients for each schedule view. This will not only cleanup your new Practice Calendar,
but it will make the existing mini-calendar show all closed days as dark gray.
Name (or rename) schedule templates with the Practice Calendar feature in mind. Use
of key terms can maximize the benefits of Practice Calendar.
Examples:
