Summary
Sooner is an option you can use if a patient wants an earlier appointment, but one is not currently available.
How to add the Sooner option when a patient wants an appointment that is not available at their preferred date or time:
When creating the appointment, check the box that says Sooner (if possible)- (outlined in red in the screenshot below).
After that is selected and the appointment is saved, this places the patient on the Sooner list, which is located to the left of the schedule:
If a Sooner appointment becomes available, reschedule the patient's appointment and there will be no need to select the checkmark by Sooner. Since the appointment has been rescheduled, the Sooner option will no longer apply and the appointment will not be on the list.
What if a Sooner appointment does not become available?: The patient will automatically drop off of the list once their appointment has been Dismissed or Cancelled.
What happens if the original appointment, with the Sooner option checked, is cancelled? The patient will automatically drop off the Sooner list.
Can I use this as a waitlist? There is not currently an automatic waitlist option within Cloud 9.
