When utilizing the features of Cloud 9 Connect, you will be assigned a phone number(s) that your text messages will be sent and received from. These assigned numbers cannot be customized or linked to other phone services.
Our messaging platform is designed to work with phone numbers provisioned directly through our application to ensure consistent message delivery, full feature support (like two-way texting), and compliance with industry and HIPAA standards.
For this reason, Planet DDS and Cloud 9 do not support phone number porting or the use of outside/office phone numbers for text messaging.
Using an external or office number not only limits what we can support but also puts your number at risk of being flagged as spam by carriers, which can disrupt both texting and voice calls.
