Summary
After you've created your Template for the Financial Campaign, (if you have question on how to do so please see this article), you will need to create a Responsible Party Recipient List for the Financial Campaign. This article reviews this process and how to complete the action in Cloud 9 Software.
Setting up the Recipient List
Step 1. First, navigate to Edit > Setup > Recurring Campaigns > Recipients tab.
Step 2. Create a new Recipient List or use an existing list. The Recipient list works a little different for financial campaigns, because it goes off the oldest pending charge date and will send the responsible party a financial campaign. In order for this to work properly, some things have to be correct. Every responsible party needs to have an email and phone number with text and email correspondence boxes checked in Edit > Patient > Relationships tab.
Additionally, you will need to decide for the recipient list if you want to choose one that is for 'All active patients' or just 'All patients'. This is telling the campaign which recipient list it should look into when the oldest pending charge hits the correct number of days for the campaign to send.
If you have been using Recurring Campaigns, you likely have one labelled 'All Active Patients' or 'All Patients'. You can make a copy and then rename it Past Due Balance Recipient list if you like.
Helpful Hints
Financial campaigns go out based off the recipient list selected (such as all active patients or all patients), and the number of days since oldest pending charge. Make sure to set this to an appropriate date range for your balance notifications.
Make sure when you actually build the campaign that you always check Responsible Party Balance Past Due for the Campaign Event category. Also, you will always want to put x number of days from oldest pending charge. For example, if you wanted it to send for anyone over 30, in this section, (screenshot above), you will want to put when to send 31 days from oldest pending charge due date.
