Many practices send out financial notification campaigns through Cloud 9 Connect. ((Click here for more Financial Campaign information.) This help article will cover how the notifications are recorded, where they are placed and what information they contain.
How do you know when a financial notification campaign has been sent to a patient?
When a Financial Campaign is sent to a patient through Cloud 9 Connect, Cloud 9 now automatically adds a line to that patient’s ledger. This creates a record that you can view and allows your office to better track when the campaign was delivered.
Why does that matter?
Previously, there was no way to see from the patient ledger whether a Financial Campaign had been
sent. This update provides clarity for offices, giving front office staff and billing teams a specific, chronological record of patient financial communication alongside other ledger activity.
How does this work?
After a Financial Campaign text or email message is successfully delivered, a ledger comment is automatically created on the patient’s ledger. This ledger comment will include the date and time the campaign was sent, the ledger comment category (“Statement”), type (“Financial Campaign”), it will include a note of “Financial Campaign Sent”, along with the Amount {"$0.00"), and the patient's current Due Now and Total Due. This will appear in chronological order alongside existing ledger activity, similar in nature to a "Statement Printed" ledger comment.
Note: Failed or undelivered messages do not generate a ledger notation - only a received message will generate the ledger comment.
